Main Operations


In accordance with the current Cooperative Legislation, and the FEDPA Statute, in its Section II, the Federation is authorized to carry out and offer financial services classified as banking-type activities, for which it carries out Active, Passive and Complementary Operations with the Affiliated Cooperatives Contributors, Adherent Members and Third Parties.

Active Operations

  • Annual fee collections.
  • Grant guaranteed loans and other credit facilities.
  • Receive the payment of the loans granted and other services.
  • Make licit investments in companies that benefit the Federation and its affiliates, such as opening DPF in regulated financial institutions.
  • Make investment or purchase of common and preferred shares in corporations or cooperative institutions.
  • Make investment or purchase of investment certificates and other titles – securities, bonds, Negotiable Commercial Securities (VCN), or securities instruments duly regulated in the stock market.
  • Any other Active Operation that benefits the Federation or the contributing affiliate cooperatives, non-affiliates and adherent members, as long as it is approved by the FEDPA Board of Directors.

Passive Operations

  • Capture or receive monies for current savings deposits, fixed-term deposits from contributing affiliated cooperatives, non-affiliated cooperatives, adherent members and third parties, in accordance with the regulations approved by the FEDPA Board of Directors.
  • Issuance of investment certificates and other securities – securities, bonds, Negotiable Commercial Securities (VCN), or securities instruments duly regulated by IPACOOP and the stock market.
  • Any other Passive Operation that benefits the Federation or the contributing affiliate cooperatives, non-affiliates and adherent members, as long as it is approved by the FEDPA Board of Directors.

Complementary Operations

  • Provide services for horizontal integration, retirement funds, layoffs, pensions and special retirements, transfer of payrolls to public and private entities, association with other legal entities for licit activities, association with state entities in activities related to the provision of public services. and provision of services with third parties.
  • Receipt and remittance service.
  • Sales of insurance products in general.
  • Sale of supplies and office supplies.
  • Payroll Processing Service or discounts.
  • Non-Bank Correspondence Service.
  • Consulting and advisory service.
  • Transactional Service of Electronic Means of Payment.
  • Administration and Operation Service of Automatic Teller Machines (ATM).
  • Point of Sales Administration and Operation Service (POS).
  • Any other Complementary Operation that benefits the Federation or the contributing affiliate cooperatives, non-affiliates and adherent members, as long as it is approved by the FEDPA Board of Directors.
